It's simple but it's the first time I've made a scene where I think everything flows together nicely, and where my style works good with a painted background. <img src="https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/902620127219036184/925189391490621471/268.png?width=1213&height=683" alt="" width="736" height="414"> <hr> Least favorite drawing from this year: Probably this. As big of a project it was it took a LOT of effort out of me and I'm not satisfied with the end product. The colours don't fit each other and everything looks crammped, just generally not something I felt like posting but kind of felt inclined to because it was Sheezy related, but I try to take every piece I don't like the outcome of as a learning experience! Little sparkles in the eye can really bring a piece to life. <hr> Longest a drawing has taken to finish: I'm not sure, I don't record my time - but probably the Sheezy Christmas drawing. <hr> Most popular drawing: I have 0 idea for this one, but probably my festive drawing! Maybe I'm biased because of it's sentimental value but I love how it aesthetically came out, too. <img src="https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/902620127219036184/925193022558306314/310.png" alt="" width="536" height="415"> <hr> Any new art mediums youve tried (or overall styles if you havent tried new mediums): I haven't tried any new mediums this year! I have no access to traditional materials so it's never something I was able to try. <hr> Favorite art medium: Digital - clearly. <hr> Artist(s) that influenced/inspired your art style: I actually have 0 idea! I've been in the furry fandom since I was 13-14, more specifically the 'emo-dogs' on DeviantArt, so I very quickly took inspiration from them and their often cartoony and simplistic style. My art is VERY different from what the art would connect to that group now though. <hr> Fandom youve drawn the most for: Skyrim! I only drew Alduin once but it is the only fandom fanart I made this year. <hr> Favorite fandom to make fanart of: I adore drawing dragons, so anything with dragons in them! But probably more specifically HTTYD and Skyrim. <hr> How many drawings did you complete this year: A whopping 314 (at the time of this journal being posted)! <hr> Any upcoming planned drawings: Not yet! Just some commissions but nothing personal. <hr> Favorite piece of art from someone else (if you have one): Anything of Sherbet is my favourite, but this recent commission I got of her makes me very happy! EZMODE is one of my favourite artists so I was really thankful I could commission them. <img src="https://f2.toyhou.se/file/f2-toyhou-se/images/43373020_AoIkQIcuErzHOKI.png?1640556831" alt="" width="652" height="349"> <hr> Favorite oc/sona drawing: I've only done 2 drawings of my sona while having her, so it's hard to decide between the two - but I was and still very happy with the outcome of this years festive piece! I tried something different with the simple light animation and I really adore how it came out. It's inspired me to want to do more things with simple animation effects in the future. <img src="https://f2.toyhou.se/file/f2-toyhou-se/images/43255412_uL3WBV5MTaMrwe6.gif" alt="" width="594" height="396"> <hr> Any art events youve participated in: I participated in ArtFight! In the summer I usually don't have much time to draw due to my family and work keeping me busy but it's always cool to have the chance to draw some OCs I otherwise never would have had the chance to. <hr> Any collabs youve done/would want to do: I haven't done any collabs this year, but it'd be super cool to do some next year to see my styles mix matched with other artists. <hr> What do you think youve improved on the most over the past year: Definitly my shading! It's something I have always disliked about my style and while I still struggle it I feel as if this year has been a really good year for defining what I want my shading to be. It's bold and colourful! It compliments the style of my lines nicely and they compliment each other. <hr> What do you want to work on the most next: I truly have no idea! It'd be cool to start a project but frankly I'm not sure if I have the time for one that's super demanding. Maybe just practicing more with a different variety of backgrounds rather than just plain grass with a blue sky haha. <hr> What are you best at drawing/doing: Definitly furries (canines/felines/etc.) They are in my comfort zone and I can pretty much zone out while drawing them. Sometimes I still struggle with perspective but at least that makes things intereting! <hr> Favorite pose youve drawn: This one! It felt really expressive and energetic to draw and I enjoyed it a lot! I feel as if my art is quite stiff most of the time so it was cool to experiment and get out of my comfort zone. <img src="https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/902620127219036184/925190553270878228/42.png?width=640&height=683" alt="" width="432" height="461"> <hr> What do you like most about your art style: I generally really like the distinctiveness of my art, I feel like as generic as it is... generally, all of it put together is very unique and I personally haven't seen another artist with a style close or similar to my own. &nbsp; </article>
