he's from an AU my friends Specs and Kayoss made (content warning for moderate gore and possible heavy topics for both accounts), the AU has it's own account too if you wish to keep up with it (content warning for mature themes can be applied here as well). im gonna be retelling the most recent world-building lore post so that u can get the jist of what the story's about :3

The story takes place in the Arcana World, a world created by the God of a Billion Hands, also known as the God of Dimensions. It's a large chunk of land with varying terrain and climates: from the north's snowy point of Everfrost Town to the south's warm tropical beach of the Hidden Village, this land has so much to offer in terms of life. Not only that, but you may find that this world has a diverse set of people you may meet.. er, diverse set of sea life? Inkfish? cuz there's splatoons here and whatnot, but eccentric and interesting characters populate this world nonetheless!

In this great land lies a calamitous prophecy, one that repeats every 30 years. It all starts with a troubled individual, one who has had to endure the hardest things life can offer, who, out of despair, chose to give themselves over to the Lord of Darkness, a powerful entity made of pure darkness. This individual would climb to the Forbidden Shrine with a knife in one hand and candles in the other, items that will aid them in submitting to the Dark. And with these objects, this unfortunate individual may sacrifice themselves by providing the Lord of Darkness with their own flesh and blood.

Now consumed by the powerful entity, they become it— any sense of good in their heart is gone as they're now the new Lord of Darkness. And this isn't something that's secret to this individual, not at all, the whole world will know about it as their once peaceful, blue sky suddenly goes dark. The sun completely vanishes from above, leaving the world covered in a dreading gloom. The Lord of Darkness then begins his wicked reign by summoning all kinds of monsters unto the people, bombarding them until lives were lost all over the world.

The God had to do something about them. In an attempt to put a stop to the Lord of Darkness, it gathered 22 people—each from differing backgrounds and lifestyles— and with the help of the Heroes and the Book of Prophecy, each were given a title. Together, they were the Arcana Holders. They weren't just ordinary people randomly picked out of the blue, but rather individuals who've had their ups and downs in life. Some of those chosen were once troubled, been shunned or incarcerated, but the Book of Prophecy chose them for their virtue of bettering themselves, for never giving in to the darkness and choosing to improve on their actions. This willingness to change, this spark within them, is what the God specifically sought for, for this light was crucial to defeating the darkness.

Like day and night, this prophecy repeats: The Lord of Darkness is summoned, the sun vanishes and monsters start appearing, the Arcana Holders are decided upon by the Book of Prophecy and sought out, gathered, and are brought together to defeat the dark. 30 years has passed since the last occurrence of the Lord of Darkness.

We start our story with the world having gone dark all of a sudden, a sign that the prophecy has begun anew once again. The Book of Prophecy lands in the hands of the guy of Wisdom, a telling as old as time itself, as he now treks the Arcana world in search for the new Holders.

Just like clockwork.
