Growl can fly with his oversized ear-wings(don't ask how his wings support his weight). Growl also wears his goggles when he flies for a distance.

Patamon: Hiya! Do you fly here often or are you new here?
Growl: What the..?

As you may assume, Growl thought he was flying solo.
