BraveStarr | Lore and my AUBraveStarr is one of the hyper-fixations I rotate and the worldbuilding for that show is sooo interesting to me. Im going to just be rambling and interjecting my au that I operate in. BraveStarr focuses on a alternate history retro-futuristic timeline or in the future where Native Americans are pushed into space because of western expansion. The main character's, BraveStarr, tribe gets massacred on the planet they settle on by a sentient undead planet destroyer and gets Safe Haven'ed at the space police station. BraveStarr has a strong moral code, ingrained in him when he was being raised by his family and carried over his time being raised by the galactic marshals. This is an 80s property and very much cop-aganda so the marshals are generally seen as heroic figures where only few are corrupted (Jingles Morgan). Personally I think BraveStarr's extremely ridged and idealistic moral code will fuck with how the system works, we have seen this in the show with the reservation system the Galactic Council tried to set up on New Texas. In the AU I'm making he takes a more vigilante stance and pushes back against the Galactic Council and Marshals. Even though he is against lying in canon (to an absurd degree, autism got him like that) he knows when to keep things from the powers that be. Harry Bosch behavior (besides the gun violence, BraveStarr throws hands more). Speaking of the law, BraveStarr and J.B. McBride's (the local judge) relationship though how cute they are together breaks so much legal shit. Conflict of interest is definitely prevalent in this relationship, this is who Reba was singing about. In my AU they yearn but due to BraveStarr's morals he does not tap that. Little distraught about this bc they are sooo cute together but Judge/Lawman not allowed. Another thing that I abolished in the AU is how this fucking planet is just mainly one biome. Transporting the 9 biomes in Texas to this planet for my ecological amusement. The red swamp and the pink ass sky stays tho, I like those. I'm definitely brining over some of the characters that were in the Brazilian comics to make the planet feel for lively and dynamic. Beverly my beloved double crossing girlboss. I want her and Vipra to form a all-girl gang and beat up Sand Storm and Thunder Stick together. Anyway I have to get back to work, it was fun just to word vomit.
