Her usual attire is a variation of the Sternritter’s typical white uniform, consisting of a hooded black cloak and silver mail with the top opened displaying some cleavage, a brown belt, along with a white dress skirt and armored work boots along with thick work gloves. When returning to the Wandenreich for the second invasion of Soul Society, she wore a sinister looking mask that resembled a human skull. She wears a white ring on her finger that is engraved with a quincy cross. A 1,000 years ago, Hildegard had black hair and wore a lightly armored, Hooded Ranger Tunic and carried a crossbow on her back, a sword in a black sheath at her hip and a sharp dagger. After joining the Sternritter she wore the standard Wandenreich outfit. She was also shorter, around 5 feet and 10 inches and weighed around 150 lbs. Personality: Hildegard is a stoic woman who keeps to herself and doesn’t speak much, but when she does it’s in a cold tone that’s to the point leaving no room for error or foolishness. She is very perceptive of people and her surroundings, as she always noticed when a certain Sternritter had switched abilities with Yhwach signifying that the Quincy King was asleep or when already realizing that Uryu Ishida had a reason for joining the Wandenreich and spoke to him privately about the history of the organization and the weaknesses of its king and other members. Despite appearing to be loyal, Hildegard only joined out of boredom and thus “was along for the ride”, not really caring about the so-called Quincy Empire and was quick to leave and cover her tracks once Yhwach was sealed away for the first time. She is also quite cunning and manipulative, fabricating that she was protecting hidden Quincy groups and looking for Reishi rich lands in the Human World once questioned about her absence. Like Yhwach, she respects and admires the original Gotei 13 and looks down on the current generation, calling them “little boys and girls” in a thick German accent laced with arrogance and sarcasm though some members do have her respect. While her morals are warped, she does have a sense of honor as she gathered clots of Still Silver from the victims of Yhwach’s Auswahlen over time and made them into a hidden blade to kill the Quincy King with as she doesn’t care if a Quincy is a “pure-blood” or not so long as they’re a Quincy and are able to fight or provide support. Background/Plot: Long ago, Hildegard Drakkenblut was a Ranger who defended people from bandits although she was somewhat bored of her life and tried to elevate it through torturing and killing of some of the bandits she caught for either information or simply for amusement. Eventually, she found out she had the ability to brand those and make them her slaves along with absorbing their spiritual power and adding it to her own and began to experiment with it. Soon, she heard that a Quincy Warlord named Yhwach was making a new army of elite warriors and figured joining would end her boredom once and for all. The Quincy Warlord was rather impressed by her abilities and gave her the Schrift “W” for Wraith due to the nature of her power. She worked alongside other Quincy such as Jugram Haschwalth and Bazzard Black also known as Bazz-B, though some like Haschwalth never felt easy around her and wondered why she really joined in the first place. Around 1,000 years ago, she, Yhwach and the rest of the Lichtreich engaged in battle with Soul Society and the original 13 Captains in order to conquer the spiritual realm. When the Quincy King fell in battle and supposedly lost his powers, some Quincy fled or left, including Hildegard who covered her tracks and left for the Human World. Over the centuries, she trained and honed her abilities and spiritual power along with searching for Reishi-riched lands that would improve the Quincy. Later on, she settled in Karakura Town and worked as a surgeon at the local hospital until one night she sensed that Yhwach had awoken and was using the Auswahlen on Quincy that were mixed or deemed “impure”. When performing autopsies on the victims, she found there was a silver-like material that formed in their hearts. Collecting enough and remembering Quincy Folklore, she resolved that Yhwach had gone mad and needed to be put down for good. Fast forward to the second invasion of Soul Society, Hildegard rejoins the Wandenreich while fabricating a story as a reason for her departure long ago. During the night at the Wandenreich Headquarters and having told Uryu everything, Hildegard watches as the mixed Quincy is confronted by Haschwalth and sensing an opening, strikes at the Quincy Grandmaster with her broadsword which is blocked by his own but not before discreetly branding him with her reiatsu. The fight lasts a while with Uryu providing support, but eventually Hildegard strikes down Haschwalth with a Hidden Blade made of Still Silver and coated with Hollow Reishi, saying that she was saving the blade to use on Yhwach. With dawn approaching and the Grandmaster of the Quincy dead along with The Almighty destroyed, the two Quincy leave all the while smirking at the surprise that the Quincy King will find. In the final battle, Hildegard along with Uryu, Ichigo Kurosaki and Squad Zero face down a weakened Yhwach who proves formidable even after losing The Almighty. Eventually, with his power being halved by Ichibe and struck with a Silver Arrowhead, the Quincy King was soon struck down by Hildegard’s Silver Hidden Blade. Equipment: Quincy Ring: A white ring engraved with a Quincy Cross worn on Hildegard’s finger and a source of her Quincy power. She can turn it into a Heilig Bogen that has a metallic appearance with light bluish reishi accents or other reishi weapons along with using it to activate Quincy: Vollstandig. Crossbow: Before joining the Wandenreich, Hildegard carried a crossbow for archery and hunting. Sword and Dagger: A Sword and Dagger pair that Hildegard once used before joining the Wandenreich. She now wields a large broadsword with a jagged edge and a bat-shaped cross-guard. Armored Boots: A pair of white armored work boots that are Quincy war garb. Strong enough to break the masks of Hollows and the Zanpakuto of Shinigami. Work Gloves: A thick pair of work gloves worn by Hildegard. Useful when handling liquidized Hollow Reishi. Silver Hidden Blade: A blade made of silver forged from the silver blood clots of the victims of the Auswahlen. Concealed in a bracer on Hildegard’s left arm and controlled by a spring-lock mechanism, the blade’s tip has been constantly dipped in the liquid form of hollow reishi to ensure the death of the Quincy King. Powers and Abilities: The Wraith (レイス), Reisu; Japanese for “Wraith”): Hildegard can control the will and minds of others by branding them with her reiatsu through touch. Those that have been touched are under her control and the weaker their minds and will are, the easier it is for Hildegarde to control them. By branding them, Hildegard can go through their minds to gather intel or just instantly kill them if they are of no use for her although she will usually keep them around if there’s a task at hand. During the second invasion of Soul Society, many low-ranked Shinigami were branded and were forced to fight their comrades or tortured for information and then killed afterwards. Draining: An ability of The Wraith that allows Hildegard to drain the Reiryoku (Spiritual Power) of those she branded, adding it to her own reserves and being able to use the stronger abilities of her power. Domination: Those that have been branded are forced to obey Hildegard’s command and carry them out. She can also torture and shame her targets to make them more malleable, however it can sometimes leave them mentally unstable for a while. This technique can also be used to control Hollows. Spirit Flash: Hildegard lets loose a blast of her Spiritual Power, causing a large flash that blinds and disorients all targets within the blast area. Spirit Burn: Her sword turns red and glows, and by slamming it onto the ground Hildegard burns those caught in the vicinity. Shadow: Hildegard can create a large portal in the shape of a six-pointed cross by generating a shadow in her hand before dropping it onto the ground and to travel between places. Soldats can move through this portal to invade areas, or she can enter the Shadow herself to leave an area. Reishi Manipulation: As a Quincy, she primarily absorbs spiritual energy from the atmosphere, and combines it with his own spiritual energy to form weapons. She has an easier time absorbing reishi in areas such as Soul Society or Hueceo Mundo where the reishi is more concentrated. Hirenkyaku Master: Hildegard has spent a long time perfecting her speed to the point it seems like she teleports at times. She can appear and reappear without notice and move at hypersonic speed at times. Blut (血装 (ブルート), Burūto; German for "Blood", Japanese for "Blood Guise"): An advanced Quincy technique which grants one inhuman offensive and defensive capabilities, generated by making Reishi flow into the user's blood vessels. The independent forms for attack and defense cannot be employed simultaneously. Hildegard used the defensive form of Blut during the second invasion of Soul Society, being able to resist the flames of Captain-Commander Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto’s Bankai, Zanka no Tachi. Ransotengai (乱装天傀, Heavenly Wild Puppet Suit; Viz "Disheveled Paradise Puppet"): A high level technique that allows the user to control their body parts using strings of spirit energy controlled by their brain, forming lines or strings out of Reishi. By using this technique, the user can control their body as one would a puppet, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force that would impede normal movement. Blue Flames: As a member of the Wandenreich, Hildegard possesses the ability to use blue flames composed of condensed reishi. They’re powerful enough to set fire to the rocks and sands of Hueco Mundo, which are usually incapable of burning. Quincy Spell Expert: As one of the few Ancient Quincy with extensive knowledge of their techniques, Hildegard can employ “spells” that are similar to that of Kido. During her centuries of travel in the Human World, Hildegard has picked up many spells and even made some of her own. Immense Spiritual Power: Hildegard’s Spiritual Power is on a level comparable to or greater to that of a captain-level Shinigami. Over the centuries, it has grown and been refined from training and absorbing the reiryoku of others. Like many Quincy, her reiatsu is light-blue but becomes white when using Quincy: Vollstandig. Enhanced Strength: Despite her slim looking appearance, Hildegard is quite strong. She’s able to go toe to toe with Captain-Class Shinigami that use Bankai along with fighting Yamamoto before Yhwach showed up. She’s able to rival Jugram Haschwalth in strength before overpowering him and killing him with the Silver Hidden Blade. Enhanced Endurance: Hildegard is a rather resilient combatant, being able to resist the flames of Zanka no Tachi when fighting Yamamoto and only suffering some minor burns. Enhanced Durability: Hildegard possesses a considerable amount of durability. Enhanced Reflexes: Hildegard’s reflexes are fast enough to catch arrows mid-flight along with dodging Kido spells from Shinigami. Keen Intellect/Perceptiveness: Hildegard is a very perceptive woman. She noticed that Ichigo Kurosaki was part Quincy due to Blut veins appearing on his skin when Yhwach struck him with his sword. She also noticed that whenever it was night time that Haschwalth and Yhwach swapped abilities and knew it was the perfect time to strike when the Quincy King was asleep. She’s also manipulative to the point that when asked why she was never around, she fabricated a story, claiming that she was protecting “Hidden Quincy'' in the Human World along with looking for Reishi-rich lands that could be used to make the Quincy stronger. Expert Swordswoman: Hildegard has experience in using a sword and other bladed weapons, being able to slice apart Shinigami with ease though those with bankai will cause some difficulty. Master Archer: Hildegard is very experienced in using her bow and Heilig Pfeils, being able to fire thousands of arrows in under a few seconds along with enhancing them to cause burns, drains or paralysis. Spirit Weapon: Reishi Hammer: Using her Quincy Ring, Hildegard can gather both spirit energy and particles and transform them into weapons. Her weapon manifests in the form of a large dark looking war hammer with an ornate design. Heilig Pfeil (神聖滅矢 (ハイリッヒ・プファイル), Hairihhi Pufairu; German for "Holy Arrow", Japanese for "Sacred Destruction Arrows"): By collecting Reishi from the tip of her hammer, Hildegard can form spiritual arrows that have a jagged tip to them and fire at targets. Quincy: Vollstandig Erebos (エレボス), Erebosu; Japanese for “Darkness of God”; Viz “Shadow of God”): Activating her Quincy Ring and doing a pose with her arms that resemble an upside down cross, a substantial amount of Reiatsu is released, forming a towering column of white energy that ends in a large Quincy Cross and shatters when Hildegard emerges from it. In this form, Hildegard becomes gaunt and pale looking along with gaining accessories made of Reishi including angel-like wings, robes that somewhat cover her arms and legs, and a Heiligenschein (Halo) appears on her head in the form of a helmet like crown. Flight: Hildegard is able to fly through the use of her reishi wings at high speeds. The Wraith (Enhanced): While using Quincy: Vollstandig, wisps of Reishi form underneath her wings. She can spread these wisps out from her wings to brand those en masse within a wide radius and put them under her control. Enhanced Spiritual Power: Hildegard’s spiritual power is increased to new heights. It is described as, “Being under a dark ocean of shadow”. Complete Reishi Dominance: Hildegard’s capability for Reishi Absorption is increased while in Vollstandig and being able to absorb large amounts of Reishi at the tip of her Spirit Weapon to use powerful attacks. She’s able to use a technique known as Sklaverei (聖隷 (スクラヴェライ), Sukuraverai; German for "Slavery", Japanese for "Holy Slave"), to tear away the components of spiritual objects and spiritual beings and add it to her own power. Enhanced Spiritual Awareness: Hildegard is able to sense Reiatsu at a far greater level, being able to detect those who try to hide their presence. Raise Army: Raising her hammer, Hildegard summons the souls of those who fell in battle and or were once branded by her to aid her in fights. Spirit Blast: The tip of her hammer glows and once it’s slammed onto the ground it causes a large explosion of Reishi, knocking down or killing anyone in the vicinity. Weaknesses The Wraith Strong Will: Those with a strong will or determination are able to resist the effects of Hildegard’s reiatsu for a certain amount of time although the use of Domination will wear them down overtime. Has his lieutenant badge on his right arm and two rings on his thumbs. Chi Senbonzakura is strapped to his waist. Place of Living/Origin: Kuchiki Manor, Seireitei, Soul Society. Likes: sweets, his parents, zanjutsu training, sugary/caffeinated drinks, talking to his zanpakuto spirits, cute girls, wakame ambassador cookies, ikebana, calligraphy, animals and hiking. The blades are the same length as a kodachi, rectangular black guard and a dark red hilt. The Zanpakuto Spirit takes the form of tall tan skinned woman with red eyes and long blood red hair wearing a long sleeved red cherry blossom pattern kimono with armor, a red headpiece in the shape of cherry blossoms and an ornate mask featuring red teeth, black lips and fangs. Her personality is one of bloodlust and pride, but with a motherly air towards Yamamoto giving him advice and sometimes teasing him. Shikai Command: "Scatter and Devour", where the blades split into a thousand sharp tiny blades resembling red flower petals that are faster and stronger than its parent blade along with being mentally controlled by Yamamoto's thoughts. The Shikai Special Ability is in two parts, the first being used at a distance and breaking through any defense along with being used for defensive purposes. The second part is the tiny blades absorbing the blood and reiryoku from an opponent they hit, increasing their power and giving off an eerie red color along with being used by Yamamoto to heal himself or others and increase his power. Bankai: Chi Senbonzakura Kageyoshi (Bloody Vibrant Thousand Cherry Blossoms): A much larger version of Chi Senbonzakura's Shikai, Yamamoto drops his sword straight down to the ground where it phases into like water. Dark red energy ripples out, darkening the surrounding area until two rows of a thousand giant blades rise up and scatter into countless flying red blades to pierce the enemy. The number of blades is great enough to be used for defensive and offensive purposes. As they move through the air, the blades give off the appearance of blood red cherry blossoms and Yamamoto can mentally control them to form a body shield. Similar to its Shikai, the attacks are triggered with the phrase Scatter and Devour. The Bankai Special Ability has many forms, by arranging the blades in different patterns each pattern has a different advantage for offense, defense, or support. The variety of techniques make Chi Senbonzakura Kageyoshi a versatile and deadly bankai. The techniques are activated by saying the name of the technique, followed by the name of the bankai, Chi Senbonzakura Kageyoshi.
