Nick and Dolly Dolly, immediately upon seeing Nick, has a crush. After two and a half months, Dolly has been giving little hints of her feelings for him. Nick misses Dolly's hints and is uninterested in interacting with the humans while staying at the twins' house. His behavior indicates that he does not make an effort to remember their names; instead, he refers to them as the purple one, the green one, and Mr. and Ms. when addressing their parents. Dolly mustered up the courage to confess, much to her brother Olly's dismay, constantly telling her that it's not going to happen because of how obviously older he is. Max is confused and disgusted by Dolly's feelings for his older brother. He has been trying to share an important detail about Nick before she runs off. She asks Nick if they can talk privately because she has something important to tell him. He grudgingly agrees to go with her and hear what this weird little girl has to say to him. Dolly makes a sincere confession about her romantic feelings for him. Nick doesn't handle the situation well, his face twisting in confusion and disbelief. He annoyingly asks what made her think she has a chance with him, that he is much older, and that Ros is his boyfriend. Dolly's mind flashes back, replaying the moments she'd witnessed: the hand-holding and the furtive looks exchanged between the two of them while she was fantasizing about Nick. Too overwhelmed with embarrassment and rejection, she runs away crying. Nick stands there frozen, watching her run, feeling a pang of guilt in his heart, quickly realizing he was too harsh. He carefully thought of the words to say, slowly walking to the house. Arriving, he sees most of the group sitting on the couch; Olly and Max have already told them about Dolly's confession. Everyone is quite upset with him; he knows what's up and is going to apologize. Ros decides to come, wanting to comfort her. Nick knocks on Dolly's door. Anali is the one to open the door; upon seeing him, she is quick to close the door. Nick manages to get his arm through the gap just in time, preventing it from shutting completely. Saying to Anali he needs to apologize to Dolly, he takes a deep breath and pushes the door open slightly. "Please, I just want to talk to her," he pleads, hoping to convey the sincerity of his intentions as he glances over Anali’s shoulder, searching for a glimpse of Dolly. She sees how genuine he is and lets the two in. Nick sits on her bed while Ros kneels beside him. He is the one to reassure her that he isn't upset about her having a crush on his boyfriend and that he understands why she developed feelings for him. Nick tells him he shouldn't have been harsh; he's just too old her, and he has no interest in girls. Dolly sets up and wipes away the remaining tears; she accepts Nick's apology. Ros asks her if she would like to watch a movie to cheer her up. She happily agrees, and they all make their way to the living room, where the rest of the group is gathered, relieved to see her out of her room. Dolly asks many questions to get to know the real him. He answers the questions; he is willing to tell. She quickly learns he lost his singing voice, and she promises to help him regain it. He says it's not likely. Despite his doubts, Dolly is determined to help him through his journey. She believes that with a little encouragement and practice, he can find his voice again and rediscover the joy of singing. Nick slowly lets her hug him, hold hands, and even kiss him on the cheek. He can't fight his nature of wanting to keep others safe.
