“All you have to do is simply take my soul, don’t ask any questions, just… just don’t involve my children in this matter is all that I beg of you.” Dolos had meticulously planned this out. For context, he had gotten himself permanently confined to a dimension, known for its desolate and lonely conditions, named Limbo, all because he committed an itty bitty tiny bit of treason. His only hope to be able to teleport between dimensions once again would be agreeing to become a messenger. That’d mean he’d no longer have his own soul. Well, he’d still have it, but an overseer would have ownership of it. Control over him.

“You do know what happened to my last messenger, Dolos?” Lonū raised her head to peer down her nose at him. She’s the only person he could think of that’d actually take the offer, though, he was starting to doubt if this was such a brilliant idea. An uneasy feeling followed Lonū’s reaction.

His tail zigzagged as he answered, “Yes. Broke one of your rules. Sentenced to be mordissectioed.” Mordissectio. One of the worst ways to go as an immortal being. Your soul is slowly ripped apart in agony until it’s beyond recognition as a soul, and then its remains are sent off to the Interdimensional Void for eternity. This method of execution also makes it near impossible to be revived, even with aid.

A slight smile was clawing across Lonū’s face, “Indeed. In memoria nostra vigeat.”

“Anyway, yes, I’ll accept your deal,” she was clearly not done speaking, she had just paused to stare Dolos down. Keep him in suspense.

“On one condition. You cannot take any matters to Amity’s peace keepers.” That was the only barrier in the way of abusing messengers. Dolos thought that couldn’t possibly happen to him though. That’s just too outlandish to actually occur. And so-

“…fine, just get me out of this place.” -he agreed.
