Duck is a country bumpkin from Somerset who was hired by the Fat Controller to work in the yard and Arlesburgh, yet wants to be also known for being a folk musician. Cecil is an old friend of Duck who used to work in Paddington before the Second World War, but fell to the struggles of alcoholism after seeing many dreadful sights during the war. And Donald? He is the enthusiastic Celt fan roommate of Duck who then fell in love with after playing a prank involving a live duck.
