I started fleshing out WCO sometime during my Undertale phase (or maybe a little after it?). It was a story about magical skeletons who were more like the bodies of poisonous plants, so they looked like skeletons with flowers growing off of them. They lived on the opposite side of the world from humans, the only thing between them is a big ocean. A large earthquake cracks the Skeleton's land in half, causing it to begin sinking, so they have no choice but to get on some boats and head over to the "human side" of the world. There, they being to integrate into society, which they think isn't too bad. The title was meant to convey a sort of delightful surprise (we crossed an ocean for this!) as opposed to the despair the album cover seems to display (we crossed an ocean for... this?).
