This big(though not as big as Rusty-Red) sweet potato was inspired by a dream about a not-so-evil clone of Rusty.
Kammo(the name he chose) was created by Plox Laboratory survivors from stolen DNA of Rusty in an effort to create a clone that would obey commands to hurt, or worse kill.

Upon being released from his gestation chamber, Kammo was commanded by the leader of the survivors to attack a prisoner they had to test his capabilities. As soon as Kammo was face-to-face with the prisoner, he had forgotten what he had to do.

As it turned out, this clone was not as successful as they hoped it would be, because examinations revealed that this clone had severe mental difficulties, such as cognitive deficits(making his walking a bit wobbly), speech that was incomprehensible and slurred, and overall, the mind of a small child.

But seeing as the material the survivors used was too valuable to kill the clone, instead, they abandoned it on Delta Libra X, where Kammo awoke the next morning seeing a bunch of onlookers in awe of the clone.
Word of a "red giant" spread fast and the crew of the Starship Junk Heap had to take a look. In the end, they essentially "adopted" Kammo, inducting him into Lavender's family. From there on out, Kammo receives therapy to improve his cognitive difficulties, learn how to read, and even find love somewhere!
