"Once I was a thriving being, not young anymore, but still not old - and full of dreams.
A life behind me, full of training, learning, uncountable amounts of tests. The least of them harmless...
But when I entered the room of the final ritual, I had no idea what would wait there for me, covered in the darkness.

We were twenty. Twenty souls, thriving, thirsty, to finally rise and become a part of the coven. Fulfilling our destiny.
Walking in white, simple cotton dresses to the ritual baths, filled with a substance I can't even put in words.
Red like blood, alive like a swamp, quietly screaming.

We were convinced. We were trained. We were full of hope.
I was.

But the moment they pushed me into the bath, hold me under the surface and drowned me, I saw it.

I saw the godwoken.
I saw its might.
I could feel how it connected its energy with my body.

I was ecstatic.
The feeling of power, of my body starting to change.
All that I had worked for, my entire life.
All my dreams and my wishes.
All the sacrifices I had made, to come to this point.

And then I saw it ... I was not strong enough.
Joy turning into pain. Hope turned into grief.
It took an eternity until I realized it.
I am doomed."
