this is the logo for the hexapod-human alliance. which is a faction in my sci-fi world

hex and humans were each others first alien contact and that stayed exclusive for several decades, so the two species are VERY closely united. the HHA formed to advocate for alien rights on both planets, causing laws to shift and become inclusive to any legally recognized sophont. but in recent years theyve become their own sort of government body! the timeline is like...

1. formed to advocate for alien rights (rights for hex on the human planet, rights for humans on the alien planet)
2. once legal equality is achieved, they switch to advocating for better interpersonal relations and cohabitation
3. to help with cohab, the HHA establishes space stations between each planet and makes travel WAY easier
4. conveniently, these space stations were more than glorified pit stops. they also sent out unmanned craft to harvest resources from nearby celestial bodies
5. to secure these resources the HHA declares that that space is its own territory. and its territory is shared equally between human and hex.
6. as time goes on, as money and territory grows the HHA eventually develops its own unique laws and government systems and is just its own strange strange thing. its like... an independent entity that is like yeah yeah whats mine is yours! but, if you ask, its gonna be a bit hard to give it to you right haha heres something to hold u over tho

im gonna make a page for them on my website eventually but yeah thats the general idea lol. its a morally dubious faction. does plenty of good, is literally the reason why human x alien marriage is legal, but is also a weird controlling government body yknow? like theyre good... but they sure as hell took full advantage of the lack of laws regarding space at the time of their formation.
