Earlier today, I got really depressed while VC'ing with friends. I left and went out to the creek. I instantly got super mad, because so much new litter was present. Like... Genuinely so disgusting. So disgusting I could not safely clean it without gloves and a litter grabber. I did what I could.
Anyways, it was raining lightly. I got wet pretty quickly. I ended up enjoying myself though, even as night fell. I even saw a toad and photographed it for iNaturalist, my new favorite app. You should download it! You take pictures of animals you see and upload them. If you don't know what they are, just tag them as the general idea (for example, just Insects can be enough if youre that stumped) and someone else will eventually come in and identify it for you, or confirm your own identification if you nailed it! You as a citizen can contribute data for science and conservation!
Moving on to the actual image youre seeing, once it was dark enough and I was getting a bit spooked being out in the dark and rain alone, I started heading back. Up above these trees is a road, and the cars going past it made quite the pretty look. It was way too dark for my camera to handle, and it being wet and having the light there, that screwed it up basically, and um yeah it looks cool? Kinda liminal-space like? Because its obviously night in the photo, but the exposure made the sky blue, and then all the crap blurring everything...
