It's been raining constantly lately. Yesterday was the worst of it. After it lightened up a bit, I decided to go down to the creek to see for myself just how much the water rose.
This is the creek that is photographed throughout my gallery. The one that's only an inch deep at some parts, maybe 6 feet at it's deepest points, where I take figure photography and where children wade. It looks like a mini-river now.
This is all natural, and the water will recede eventually, but it... Is quite the feeling, to see your idyllic little spot utterly flooded and raging. The trees show where a path used to be. All the places I took my photos are currently underwater.
The water does not appear rough here but I do have a video on my Tumblr showing how strong it was. The water was rising still, it's probably even higher now.
