I'm trying to learn how to draw Pokemon in the Pokemon Art Style! For multiple reasons, really, but in part because I don't like my current Art Style with Pokemon.
I'm going to try and go through the Pokedex one by one and do a sketch page just to get an understanding of how the Pokemon look and are drawn. Eyeballed the 3/4 pose from official art but tried not to make it too similar. For the others I wanted to do different poses and angles. For the muzzle shape I referenced the OG Charmander Episode when it's on the rock, but otherwise he runnin.
And for the other I could not find a single picture of Charmander from a front on perspective so this was me absolutely winging it in full, no reference but what I already drew.
I also eyeballed the colours and attempted lighting. Shading was easy to pick and figure out a colour based on something I saw online about different shading colours, but I just can't get lighting down. I ended up changing it from what it was before I was going to upload.
Next up will be Charmeleon.
