Ravi prepared with shield forward and his tulwar in at the ready as he walked through the rift, spotted about eight soldiers scrambling around the grounds readying their muskets.

Annaerlitha flew over the wall of villa’s grounds, casting one of her more powerful spells. With an incantation and a circular cut of her athame, she invoked a blast of elemental cold freezing those same eight soldiers.

One of them was not completely frozen, so Eri quickly unleashed two bolts of eldritch energy as he emerged from the rift. One bolt struck the soldier that was still moving who exploded into shards of bloodied ice, and the other struck a Dwarven man in a more elaborate uniform. Eri guessed that this Dwarf armed with a pistol and a battleaxe was the Comandante’s bodyguard.

Ravi hissed and ejected a stream of venom at a soldier not caught in Annaerlitha’s spell. The soldier fell to the ground as a green cloud of venom touched her face. Advancing forward he cut down another soldier who tried to raise his musket against him. Emerging from a menacing black cloud of palpable terror, Eri manifested green flames around his blade as he lunged through one soldier causing flames to consume another while Annaerlitha dispatched that one with a ray of frost projected from her dagger as she flew behind the canopy of a tree avoiding gunshots from the soldiers and a surprised comandante.
