They are cousins that were grew up together to take care of thier family shrine. The short one Selene was declared the future leader after a ritual when they were younger, and Alicia is to be one of the guards.

They were raised by the former head, a bitter woman that held onto old beliefs that negatively affected everyone.

Once they were older and Selene became the official new Priestess a lot of changes happened.
