Comfortable

That's the word. Alec's company always feels so comfortable.

You try not to take it for granted. You've never really had something like this before him.

Someone you can let your guard down around. Someone you can be vulnerable with.

It's nice.

And you know he feels the same way about you, even if he wouldn't admit it.

It's not like you haven't noticed how he puts up a facade around other people.

...Well, maybe not a facade, that sounds kinda bad. It's more like a performance ...or an act? You're not really sure. Honestly, you aren't even sure he does it on purpose.

It's just that he acts differently around others... like everything he does and says is more intentional... like he's always got something to prove, or someone to impress.

He’s a lot more relaxed when it's just the two of you.
