Tydea is a Lieutenant in the Rhiz Republic Navy, but she has mostly been relegated to escorting small merchant ships. Not even any of the ones that carry enough valuables for pirates to bother attacking them! It's not very fulfilling...

She wants to be that smug noble archetype that does the "ohohohoho" laugh and everything SO badly but she's only from a middle-class merchant family and she's not even the one who's inheriting the business, so it doesn't really work.

All of her actual competence gets overshadowed by the fact that she keeps trying to do way too much in an attempt to show off, only to fail because she tried to take on a task more fitting for 4 people all on her own.
