Darren would literally do anything for Rocket, he'd die for him and Rocket has spent his whole life feeling guilt because Darren was basically his other half. He left a gaping void in Rocket's life when he died, and Rocket couldn't feel the grief others felt, he couldn't cry because he didn't have that capability, but he still cared about him more than anything in the world and carries his dogtag since he died. Darren was his world and eventually Rocket does cry over him a lot.
