sometimes i dont log in here for days/weeks, dont be afraid, i will come back someday

i have tried to add images or gifs to my profile in the custom contect block but whatever i do it just isnt there. the closest to having a image there is what you can see in the block, a broken file image or whatever that is, i tried searching for tutorials on how to do it here but couldnt find anything.
a kind person on my last journal gave me the script for adding an image but i couldt figure out how to use it properly, tried to read the sheezys thing about htlm but i think im just too stupid for that.
hope someone can give me a proper tutorial or smt cuz i might just go insane if i continue to try to solve this myself T-T
what the hell are journals!! i dont really understand them, what the point of them exacly? i dont mean this in a mean way im genuinly curious, at the same time can someone explain to me how to add blinkies to my profile? i saw someone having them but i couldnt find a way to do that too.
how can i make a profile block with artworks i liked? that seemed cool aswell, hope someone will see this journal someday
