So the nectavyrn species produces offspring asexually, they do not need a mate to do so. When their tail flower is in bloom, it'll open on command and release what looks like spores. The spores are thousands of tiny seeds that'll spread and grow. The seeds will turn into native plants but some of them will grow into nectavyrn offspring that the parent will come back for later on to harvest and take care of.
