- they/them
Howdy! My name is Cassady and I am a queer artist living in California. A lot of my art is inspired by the American Southwest because I grew up in Southern Utah and am constantly homesick. I paint landscapes (with acrylics and with Procreate) and I like drawing birds and other wildlife. I make stickers sometimes and I have an Etsy shop dedicated to those :) I also love 90s alternative rock and am in the process of making my first zine. My hobbies are attending concerts, bird watching, hiking and making stickers.
(looks fun, jumping on the bandwagon hehe)

- queer of some flavor
- likes 90s-00s alternative rock

hope everyone's having a good start to their week :3
we all know instagram sucks for artists, and i feel like even tumblr has its issues (as loyal as i am to tumblr, been on there for over a decade). my artistic interests change a lot and i don't feel like i have an "aesthetic" or "style" that makes a feed look nice and cohesive, ya know? i just feel like i get too excited or "cringey" sometimes for other platforms and i'm curious how a site like this will connect with my younger self, esp during my deviantart days. i've been working to connect with my inner child/teen in my creative process a lot lately. a space like this where i can journal about creative thoughts might be a nice change of scene, cause all my other socials i feel like i'm just not connecting with people the way i want to. so we'll see how this goes! :D
I don't have a lot of artist friends and it's hard to make friends as an adult??? with a full time job??? so here we are. Hi. Hello. I'm Cassady, nice to meet you! I started taking my art a bit more seriously about a year ago. I got into birdwatching and that really jump-started my creativity after being dormant for like a decade. I'm curious about other people's experience with finding their creativity and how it fits into their life, so please let me know in the comments!
