WOOO first post on this account!! How exciting!!!
I was up in Aberfeldy over the weekend, where I decided to challenge myself by climbing up the birks ALL by myself. I managed to get up to the top after only struggling a LITTLE BIT on the stairs, which was GREEEAATTT for me muehehehe
I was taking pictures of a few pigs sauntering and sniffing around in a field next to the path where I caught sight of this nuthatch, my very first! I must’ve startled the two men walking past me because I DID audibly gasp at the sight of it scampering down the tree…

Speaking of that, did you know that the Eurasian nuthatch can only climb trees downwards? It’s a cool opposite to another one of our native species, the Eurasian treecreeper, who can only climb upwards!
