i tried to do something similar to 2000's digipaint-style anime, though i am not good at rendering in the slightest and gave up on that part pretty quickly lol. background this time around is simply an adobe stock image w/ a slight blur and gradient. initially this had a different brick wall background, but when i was looking for it to link back to it here, i made the unfortunate discovery that it was ai generated. :( this new background works well enough though!
