Within the ocean, lies two merfolks sharing a moment together. Once, they were a mermaid and a human sharing a bond that was secret. Now they share a moment, bonded as husband and wife, forever a part of each others worlds.

This was something I was hoping to do last year to lean into that "30 years of life" celebratory theme, since Kitami and Kevin were my first couple. But due to time, I wasn't able to. At least I got around to it now and I love how it came out! Trying to capture the sunrise underwater was tricky, playing with different colors for the shine was tricky but I landed on a more unique shine going with the romantic tone. A little addition to kitami's design was lipstick, as it was inspired by a recent commission I got. It's always nice to return to the first couple I ever created; especially on Valentine's Day.
