Art & Characters (Claudia Synderson, Ego) © @CentaurWorks
In the mist of a stormy night, a freed genie encounteres a large and imposting undead figure staring her down. A feeling of dread did fall over her with this permanent grin on the creature's face. But it was a feeling that needed to be contained. As thunder rolled in, there was a feeling a fight was about to go down.
I wanted to keep drawing Ego annually for October/Spooky Month, and I ended up going with a scenario based on a story I wrote a few years ago; and my god do I love how it came out! It helped with the light post acting as the major light source and the heavy darkness. But what ended up working out the best was using a charcoal brush for the lines on Ego, helping him keep his original traditional dirty look at least with the lines alongside using a crayon brush for the shading. The heavy shading on Claudia also came out phenonial in a way I wasn't really expecting.
