With the stormy weather pouring down, Claudia went to take shelter within a Japanese shrine in hopes to dry off and to get shelter until the storm stops. The shrine seemed rather empty. nothing much within other than leaves and statues. Claudia goes to inspect one of them, a fox statue that stood out among the rest of the statues. As she was inspecting tho, it's eyes glow and an orange magic began swirling around it. Little did she know that enterting seemed to get the attention of a kitsune of the shrine, as it uses it's staff to start using magic, as Claudia is unaware she's becoming affected by the magic as well.

Welcome to the first art of the Spooky Month of 2025! I knew I wanted to do something featuring Claudia and a fox statue, with magic coming out like a curse. I was thinking about having a random figure but then I decided on one of my best friend's OC Koji, an AU pairing and miscevious one. What I was most happy with is the crop bars and the bleed. I wanted to try to make the magic stand out more, really make it more daunting in a way. This lead to the idea of having the magic break out of the cropped bars and even elements like the fox eyes and the different translation for the subtitles. With everything, I feel so happy with how this came off and hope it gives off a creepy vibe.
