World Info

S&R is my primary oc universe, it takes place in the year of 2022 on earth without much difference to our world (socially). What makes S&R different to normal life is the existence of magic, billions of years ago powerful gods called the "Elementals" used their magic to shape the earth into what it is now. As they constructed the planet, they left behind parts of themselves called "Sprites", small balls of sentient magic. Sprites are seen as a nuisense by the gods, but not enough to destroy all of them, so the gods created "Messengers" to watch over the earth and ensure nothing went to chaos whilst the gods left to exist somewhere else.

And below all of that would be mortals, or anything that's not purely magic. Mortals are not meant to interact with magic as it would create even more chaos for the gods to deal with, so magic is hidden from them. But there are methods for them to forcefully interact with magic, such as a magic mineral called "Endinium" that can be used to enchant objects. Sprites can also choose to go against their moral code and lend their magic to humans, but this puts them at risk of being destroyed for "law breaking".

The big conflict that happens with magic is when the gods get into fights with each other, it makes the existing magic on earth become unstable and creates corrupted magic. Corrupted magic is hard to control and isn't hidden from mortals, but so far there's only a bandaid sollution of waiting for the gods to stop fighting and having the messengers clean up the corrupt magic mess.

Character Info

So now that the world is established, here's some of the important characters and a small plot summary (specific character info is on my ToyHouse)

So remember the corrupted magic problem I just mentioned? That's the big motivating conflict that all the characters revolve around. Some may have different story lines but they all go back to the corrupt magic outbreak that occurs. Outbreaks only happen once every million years, so humans have yet to experience what corrupt magic does; or magic in general.

Group 1 - The Wave Busters

This group consists of Konnie (purple pink hair, pink n blue hoodie guy, you see him as my pagedoll), Rosie (Konnie's sister, purple n pink, has a beanie), Dexter (cym colored, blue hair and funky glasses) and Tora (typically shown in post-development version where she's green n purple, covers one of her eyes with hair). These four are accompanied by a corrupted sprite named Fizzy (purple :D ball) who's had time to stabilize and control themself, and three other sprites that they've befriended. As a group they go out and help the people who have been affected by corruped magic like a superhero group. Fizzy gets stronger and stronger the more they do this, which you can picture turns around for the worse.

Group 2 - Project Daybreak

This group more focuses on the setting of S&R rather then directly going at the outbreak. The main characters being Ignis (fire colored emo guy, covers eye with hair), Daisy (pink and green woman with lilypad hat), Undine (pink and purple green mix, covers eye with hair, creature /j), Bevac (peppermint colored masked man) and Eunice (hooded blue person with cym accents). They find that the town they live (Lothren) in and the neighboring town (Winterside) have had some shady things going on in the background. With people going missing and the outbreak mysteriously being worse in their area compared to others. They directly clash with the other group as one focuses on the symptoms of a problem whilst the other is actually dealing with it.

Group 3 - Dawn INC. (and it's associates)

Any characters outside of the two groups above mainly exist to further flesh out the universe, and this group mainly consists of the bad guys that cause problems. Dawn INC. is a tech and energy company that "Works to make a brighter future". In reality they're a shady company that's willing to do anything to get ahead of a curve, which involves discovering magic. Dawn is one of the first organizations to discover magic, but they chose to use it to benefit themself and boost sales. They work with a cult that helps them "deal" with opposition, with this and money they have been able to exist despite breaking every OSHA law ever invented. Oh yeah they also do unethical experiments to further the knowledge on magic, most notable being the one time they tried to enchant a person... didn't end well.
And yes these are the guys that Daybreak is trying to stop.
