Finished this redesign of my sona as a monster hunter monster! This is Nirvidios - a fanged wyvern that lives in icy, cold regions. It mostly hunts small monsters, but it especially loves bones - which is why it'll chew through dense ice in order to get to them. Its skin, while glistening, is much more like walrus or seal skin - it's comfortable even in incredibly cool climates. Its wings are to absorb heat, assisting its second stomach in melting the ice and snow it swallows - which it then combines with a naturally-occurring quick-freezing fluid it secretes from its pores to then solidify paths and water into ice!

That beak and those fangs are made specifically to chew through ice, but it means it's got a nasty bite - and the fangs help with evenly dispersing any of the water and saliva it spews. It's a fast monster when unfed, but hits much harder once it's swallowed ice and snow. When enraged, its mane freezes into a huge ice spike from the secreted liquid along its back, which is a defense mechanism from any attackers to make its skin tougher and more uncomfortable to bite!! :>
