This account is dedicated to highlights from my childhood art (pre-July 2020), showcasing the funny, personally important, strange, and otherwise notable art pieces I've done since I was born. Thanks to the fact I had a bad habit of not including a date next to my art pre-2019, and poor memory thanks to my PTSD, I've opted to date my art using estimates tied to eras of my life to try and create a clearer idea of my art progress as time went on.
Here's a rundown of that:
- [F] (#Forgottenera): Forgotten era (2005 - 2010): My absolute earliest art, characterized by scribbly stick figures, completely illegible text, and confusing and unclear subjects very clearly made by a small child. This era gets it's name from the fact that I don't remember creating anything in this time period, and that there's very little art I can date to this era in full certainty.
- [C] (#Catsanddogsera): Cats and dogs era (2011 - 2014): The peak of my childhood cats and dogs fixation. Art from this era is characterized by characters being drawn with mainly circle/oval shapes, and blobby anatomy, as well as an overwhelming focus on canines, felines, and dragons thanks to the fixation. My first legible stories are from this era.
- [T] (#Threejumpysera): Three jumpys era (2015 - 2017): The time where I first began to write stories using a computer- one of these stories being the name sake of this era; 'The Tale of Three Jumpys'. Art from this era looks like an evolved version of the cats and dogs era's art, and features a much wider range of subjects and a ton of experimentation. This later half of this era marks the first time my art became more oc focused than focused on my pets.
- [D] (#Darkera): Dark era (2018 - July 2020): This era is named the way it is not only because it was a generally really sucky period of my life- but also because I hit a major creative slump around this time. Most of my art in this time period featured majorly the same few ocs, with an overwhelming majority of my art being same pose full bodies of random designs I never used again. The beginning of actual anatomy knowledge starts around here, as well as, oddly enough, the consistent use of colour in my art, which I used very rarely before. My first proper digital art is from this era too, being done in mspaint with a mouse. Most things past this point are posted to my main account with a few exceptions.
- [E] (#Entropyera): Entropy era (July 2020 - May 2023): This era marks probably the most abrupt change my art has ever gone through. For the first time in my life I learned how to draw human beings properly, and began creating the earliest concepts for Kaivasita (known as Edge of Entropy at the time, hence the name of the era.) I went through a pretty bad period around now where I relied on drawing my construction lines over stock images to get the anatomy right, which is why some of the art in Kaivasita: Fated souls looks so jank. I rarely drew furries in this era for whatever reason and focused solely on trying to draw 'anime-ish', probably trying to replicate the artstyle of kid icarus uprising somewhat since I was fixated on it hard around this time.
- [SD]: Second dark era (May 2023 - August 2025): Another very rough period of my life, this one named the second dark era purely because of how bad it was for me to live through. It was easily the worst period of my life, so it's no wonder to me why I remember so little of it now. Art wise however, I improved very quickly as I was fully set on doing illustrations for Kaivasita, which meant I had to both draw a lot, and actually focus on the end result looking good.
- [R]: Recovery era (August 2025 - Present): The current era of my life, and one I've decided to designate because being out of the bad environment I was in and finally putting in some work to get me out of the rut I've been in my whole life has noticeably changed the way I do art for the better. I now draw at a much faster pace, and with no care for what others think of me while doing so. I've started to draw for fun again, and have made some serious progress towards fully unrepressing myself. All's good.
Each art piece posted here will have one of these letters in boxes in it's name to show what era I estimate it to be from
