I should start calling this guy a jackalope, but I'm used to referring to them as a hare, so I'll just keep doing that.
Anyway, this is the friend that Desert Dweller is traveling with! He's a big rabbit antelope thingy, about the size of a large dog or a small pony, herbivore, and mostly just an animal. Desert Dweller uses him as a pack animal since he's too small for him to ride on. And, of course, as a companion on the lonely desert journey he's on.
