Hey Y'all!!
I was recently accepted into my dream 4-year university, and will be transferring there this upcoming fall. I also will be moving homes so I can live closer to campus (which will also be my first time living away from family), which also means I need a new car since I'm currently using the family car... theres a lot of new things I'm having to pay for because of the new school thing, and while I can afford them, I'm opening commissions so I can have extra money for living expenses and such.
This is NOT an emergency opening, more of like just "semi-urgent", so don't worry about me or anything!! After the semester starts, I'm likely gonna be closing commissions to the public and just reopening during school breaks or if I need spare cash. I'm moving in June, so my comms will likely be closed from mid june to early july, to allow myself time to say goodbye to family, pack, move, unpack, and whatever else. I'm thinking I'll keep them open from now to June 15? Then I'll reopen maybe Jul 15.
Since comms wont be open during the semester, I was thinking of starting a subscription program where subscribers (as low as $5) get early or constant access to commissions, and if they pay even more they can get discounts on top of that, along with monthly art benefits. Idk!! Still workshopping the idea...
TLDR - I'm transferring schools and moving homes this summer. Commission money will be going towards general living expenses. On top of that, I'll be closing commissions to the general public starting in August. What do we think of a Patreon or Ko-Fi subscription program?
Thankz 4 Readin!
