Howdy, I'm Cress. Welcome to my page! I'm a college artist, hoping to be an animator and/or comic illustrator someday. My art style / "brand" I guess would be cutesy, fantasy, & characters.

BLM (Black Lives Matter): The advocation for non-violent protests against police brutality towards people who are black, as well for various policy changes related to black liberation.

Queer: An umbrella term for one who is in the LGBT+ community.

Pansexual / Panromantic: One who is sexually / romantically attracted to all genders, and is blind to whatever the gender of their partner is.

Ambiamorous: The ability to enjoy both monoamory and polyamory with little to no preference between the the two. This is not a type of relationship, but rather a specific feeling one may have towards relationships.

Transgender: One whose gender does not match their designated birth sex.

Transmasculine: One who was designated female at birth, but identifies more male than female.

Femboy: A term for non-conforming mingender and miaspec individuals who present femininely in some way.

Marfluid: A form of genderfluidity where one experiences only or mostly masculine genders.

Proxvir: A gender relative to male, but is something separate and entirely on its own.

Xynthvir: A singular gender identity, just like female, male, juxera, etc. It is a gender that, like proxvir, is derived but distinctly separate from manhood and masculinity. In the case of xynthvir, however, it is not just derived from masculinity; it is also derived from xeninity.

Neoboy: A gender with a connection to masculinity, but in a way that's largeley different from how most boys/men are connected to masculinity. Neoboy is a non-binary gender identity that is mostly separate from being male, though it can be described as a gender that is masculine-aligned, neutral-aligned, mingender, and/or miaspec.

Xenogender: An umbrella term for non-binary gender identities that cannot be fully described through their relation to concepts typically used to describe gender such as male, female, man, woman, masculinity, femininity, androgyny, neutrality, agenity or outherinity.

Xenic: A term used to describe individuals whose gender is aligned to something that doesn't fit the Western human binary of gender alignments. Instead of male- or female-aligned, one may feel like they're more aligned with animals, plants, things, or concepts.

Demixenogender: One who identifies partially as xenogender, partially as another gender that may or may not be defined.

Xenoboy: One who identifies as a xenic boy/man.

Astronautian: A gender identity in which an individual experiences varying fluidity of any astronomique identities, but with a sensible type of fluctuation.

Spacecoric: A coric xenogender that is related to spacecore, which is related to the aesthetic of space and astronomy.

Cutegender: A xenogender where one's gender fits their definition of ''cute'' and/or is related to cuteness.

Dustbunnygender: One who seemingly collects more labels for their gender over time.

Closed.Closed. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">The sign seemed to mock me as I stood there, trying to see if there was something I missed. This place couldn’t be closed. This couldn’t be real. I read over it one more time. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">“Due to the lack of use, this building is CLOSED INDEFINITELY, or until further notice.” <span style="padding-left: 25px;">A few more times it repeated itself in my head until I realized the horrifying truth of the situation. This was really happening. My one freedom from reality was taken from me. The library was gone. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">Peering into the lobby through the glass double doors, I saw the books sitting there, just beyond my reach. The shelves were as full as always, hundreds of thousands of novels, millions of pages of knowledge and mystery, excitement and freedom, calm and romance. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">Closed. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">Gone. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">Just too far away. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">Everything started to sink in. I had always liked how quiet it was in there, perfect for diving into a fantasy realm. I guess I never thought about how I was their only patron. I never thought about the impact that had, and now it was all gone. The damage was done. Thinking back on it, I don’t think I’ve ever even seen cars in the parking lot, save for mine and the librarian’s. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">I took a step back to take it all in. The doors, showing me my haven yet keeping me away from it. The sign which, despite my prayers, hadn’t changed. The brown brick walls guarding the books’ home. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">I tilted my head up to look at the cloudless blue sky, and I swore I could see flames. Invisible tendrils of fire licked the heavens, growing bigger and stronger with every second. The inferno, burning with ignorance, enveloped the unnaturally silent building. My face grew hotter and hotter at the sight of them until, finally, I couldn’t bear to look at it any longer. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">My head fell and my whole body visibly drooped, like a wilting flower. My shoulders shook as I wept. At some point I noticed that I wasn’t even standing any more, feeling the hard pavement under my knees. I don’t know how long I sat there, but when I finally stopped, the sun had fallen low in the sky. I realized that I should probably go home, my parents would’ve been waiting for me. At my car I paused, looking back at the tragedy. The sky was darker, and the cooler lighting made it seem like a burnt up lump of coal. I thought of the future, the ramifications this would have. <span style="padding-left: 25px;">You don’t need to burn books to destroy a culture.
