Acrylic on canvas, finished in 2011. This was one of my best pieces at the time; I agonized over this one for so long. The idea was a whole series where the animal would shapeshift to fit the seasons and environment, showing a hint of what it was to become in the next piece- that's why it has a turtle shell.
