tested the animation tools on drawpile today. I only did a short thing so idk how long animation compares to krita (I've done it before but I really don't like trying to scrub through the timeline because of some issues. If you know that animatic I did back in 2024, I think I mention that as the reason I did it at 10fps.)
Drawpile makes a new layer for each frame and I do not like that. Krita does not do this.
Anyway if you can't tell this is absolutely because of the new tomodachi life direct (which is why the style is Mii-ish)
AND THEY DID IT!! I knew everyone talked about the possibility but I had my doubts but holyshit queer people real?? I can be aromantic??? nonbiney???????
Oh also the poses were meant to be a reference to lovely cavity but that's not obvious because I'm not sharing the animation
idk I think it's fitting for these guys
idk how many of you guys know this now but I had a big miitopia phase & posted quite a bit of art related to it (none on this platform), obviously I'm a tdl fan too, and there's more...
back when I was a kid I had this secondary artstyle (that kinda became my primary for a while) that was very much based on miis. Not this style but the other one you'd see with the "background mii characters" in some older games- the ones that didn't actually have legs or arms. This was when I was 10? The artstyle was specifically for an arc in the self-insert story I had where they were in a video game for... reasons? idk I think I was inspired by hxh. I don't remember that series well either though.
