Questden.org is a very nice site for text-based RPGs.
Commenters can give the protagonists anonymous suggestions on how to proceed on their adventures. The authors typically react to the suggestions within a day with an update and often hand-drawn illustrations depicting a scene.
If you prefer finished stories: the archive is enormous and grants many days of reading.
Disclaimer: some stories include sensitive topics or contain mature content. Mature images are typically spoilered, but there is no warning/tagging system in place!
