Back when the Galar region was announced and it was shown to be based on the British Isle, I decided to do four Legendaries based on each country.

They're all dual-Grass types, a combination of the national animals and plants of their respective countries.

ROAROSA is a Fire/Grass-type. A guardian of the forests across Galar, it is reported to protect other Pokemon against invaders and poachers but this behaviour that also makes it highly dangerous to trainers. It is also a source of unseasonable warmth and wildfires.

It is based off the lion and rose, with its name derived from the Latin genus rosa and the roar of a lion.

UNITHORN is a Poison/Grass-type. A solitary creature that roams the highlands of the region, a dark history of cursing or blinding anybody who comes across it surrounds it. Similar in appearance to Rapidash, Unithorn is often mistaken for a mutation of its fellow equine Pokemon. However, when agitated or angry: a purple symbol of the thistle plant appears on its chest and its true identity becomes clear as its mane/tail seemingly disappears and transforms into shimmering vines, which are decorated with the deadly thorns it is named after. The golden vines are said to be worth a small fortune for collectors.

Unithorn is based off the national symbol of Scotland (unicorn) and its name is a nod to its Poison abilities.

A Dragon/Grass type, DRAIGDIL is responsible for the plant life that spans across the valleys that lie in southeastern Galar. Despite being a Dragon-type Pokemon, Draigdil is one of the more peaceful Legendary Pokemon who is fond of meditating and creating beauty where it settles.

The word ‘draig’ is roughly Welsh for 'dragon’. The last part of its name 'dil’, comes from the national flower of Wales: the daffodil.

LAPRÓG is a mysterious Grass/Flying type Legendary that is reportedly one of the hardest Galarian Pokemon to catch a glimpse of. To the point where claims that it carries eternal good luck to whoever sees it run rampant. It often draws power from sunlight to stay invisible during daytime hours.

Lapróg’s design is based off the Northern Lapwing, the national bird of Ireland. The first part of its name is derived from this bird. The last part comes from the Gaelic word for shamrock (seamróg), the country’s national plant.
