I got to see Spiderman: Far From Home the other day and it inspired me to retcon one of my OCs! Previously, Maddie was the daughter of May and Ben Parker, making her Peter's cousin. However, she was originally created waaaaay before spiderman entered the MCU,(but I really like spiderman, so I just threw him in there), so Peter was never really important to her story. So, given how insignificant Peter is to her story (no offense Peter. Love you💙) I figured it could be interesting to make her the spiderman of my Ocs' universe!
She had already joined SHIELD before she became spidergirl, but it wasn't until after she got bitten that she became an actual field agent. After she was bitten, she gained super strength, hearing, smell, and a seemingly sixth spider sense, but her eyesight stayed the same. She was also able to stick to surfaces and had heightened reflexes. Upon discovering her powers, she made her suit, which included stealth tech that she had developed while in SHIELD. She also temporarily left SHIELD only to return as Spidergirl in an attempt to keep her identity a secret (it didn't work).
