Born in poverty, Kane and his younger brother Aaron always had it rough but they always managed. One day after protecting his brother from a pair of muggers they took shelter in a Catholic church where a priest found and mended them. The kind hearted priest adopted them and the two brothers would grow to be followers of the Christianity God.

     Kane however while holding his faith to God, questions why he puts up with humans, especially the ones who lie, cheat, and steal. One night the church was visited by some small-time crooks looking for an easy score. Caught by the priest, the crooks went on the offensive and hurt him. Even though Kane stopped the crooks, the priest still had to be taken to the hospital.

After that, Kane grew untrusting and at times disrespectful to most humans, thinking they all are easily prone to sin. Even with Aaron’s consoling and the Priest’s speaking of good deeds, Kane remains weary about humans and will smite the enemies of his kin and God.
