Drift is a shapeshifting anomaly who’s always on the run from the apparent “Multiverse Police”. He used to be a HUGE troublemaker, going from world to world just pranking its denizens and stealing macguffins for a personal collection. He slowed down after learning of the Multiverse Police’s existence, but began hopping from world to world as a sort of tourist instead of just to mess with people.
Sometimes they’ll choose a world they enjoy spending time in and decide to try living there.. even if these days, he doesn’t like officially stating that he lives somewhere. He fears that’ll jinx him out of a stable home.

The anomaly part of him comes from numerous facts. The biggest one being that they lack a specific world they came from. They simply spawned in the sort of “hub area” of the multiverse and figured things out from there (it is a lot more complicated and deep than this! I’m trying to summarize everything.) The other primary two are the fact that he’s a shapeshifter and can travel throughout the multiverse without the need of a special tool… at a price. If he doesn’t let the cooldown of one or two hours happen, he could die. Thankfully, a friend of his made him something that could at least make the toll less deadly…. But we can’t talk about Ann yet….
