RULES:
Be as positive as you can be and try not to skip any questions! However, don't force yourself to be untruthful. It's okay if you can't answer something.
What do you like the most about your art?
I love how i vibrant my colours are and how i draw characters and faces
What is your favorite part of the creating process?
lining! it's therapeutic, both lining digitally and traditionally
What are your favorite colors to use? Do any consistently show up in your OCs/designs?
brown/creams are the most consistent colors to pop up! i also really like to green/pink/peach in my design as well
What are your favorite brushes/tools to use?
dry ink and crispy inker are real nice inking brushes on procreate, any gel-based ink for traditional pens
What is your favorite series/subject to create for? (e.g. a fandom or original universe.)
my own OCs!
Who is your favorite character to draw/write/model?
Aurora, she's my pouflon and im so normal about her. big intidimating lookin gal who's a real softie
Which OCs are you the most proud of?
that's tough, i really am always proud of all my OCs? can't really pin point any but all the OCs that i've persoonally design have been my own favourite and proudest ones
What gets you pumped up to create? Any particular inspirations, prompts, or songs that always get you to pick up a pen?
prompts help me create stuff! or just throwin and bouncin ideas with a friend! sometimes i'll see something that would make a real fun interaction thing with my or my friends OCs and that helps with me drawing too!
Are you planning any large projects? (e.g. Comic, series, zine.)
i have a comic in the works that has been in the works for a good,,, one, almost two years now? i'm slowly making work on it!! its just been a mood swing on when i feel like continuing on it
Who are your favorite artists? What do you like about their work?
i have a buncha folks who i look up to, some of which are my friends! but i think that, what makes me like their work a lot is how they do colours and the environmental pieces that they do as well as the character deisgn that they've done
What is your favorite piece that you've uploaded to Sheezy so far? Link it and talk about it!
I'm really proud of this piece!
Love me, Love me not
I haven't done painting in a while so it's nice to be reminded that i still got it even if im rusty at it
Look at your work from 5 years ago (or as far back as you can go!) and think of one nice thing to say about it!
i think that the direction i went for art 5 years ago really shaped how i wanna do art now! it was so much more expressive though lacking in foundation but def a good start!!
smobs back at it again with another BALLER meme
lets go
RULES:
Answer each question in as much detail as you like. Skip anything you don't know or would prefer not to answer.
How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
i think 3 including current one
What does your current username mean?
duck + lord :]
What is the first program you used to make digital art?
photoshop that was pirated on my dad's laptop
Where did you first start posting your art?
pretty sure it was DA! that's how i got intoduced to adoptables and ARPGs
What is the first piece of media you drew fanart for?
b,,,,barbie horse adventures,,,,,,,, and hetalia,,,,,,, ORZ
Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
Shira, a white nine-tailed fox with purple and green eyes but she only had one tail cuz she lost it in her totally edgy backstory
Would they even count as a sona if you perceive yourself as not yourself but aspects of yourself in a variety of ways?
Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
MK, Baker and Mint! I think they're all fragmented pieces of myself but still me as a whole, where Shira was me as a whole that could be fragmented into pieces
What phases/styles has your art gone through? (e.g. Did you have an anime era, a cartoon style, a watercolour phase?)
- Started with doodling things on paper and pen, art was inspired by those barbie colouring/drawing books and my friends who had a more anime style, so it was a good mix of whatever those two was
- More animal related, this was like: Ice Age, Spirit the Stallion, Lion King, Horseland, etc.
- Adventure Time and Steven Universe got pretty damn big, still mixed in with a more anime flavourings thanks to friends
- Ditched humans all together to draw furries cause I hated how i drew faces and animal faces were easier to do
- Joined with a couple of friends to some live drawing session and generally other art studies that got me back to drawing humans
- Pulled my own style from all the previous things i've done + adding the foundations i've learnt from studies which is where i'm at now?? pretty sure i've forgotten a couple of things but i cannae remember
What/who do you think has influenced your art style the most?
a lot of artists who do textured stuff and comic artists with strong inking lines influence me the most which makes it hard for me to pin point my own style cuz its like, i wanna do texture somewhat-painty pieces but i also want to line it
What/who inspired you to be an artist?
my friends! the days where we just sit down and make up stories of anime characters coming to out school and us drawing it into comics def started it all
What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
procreate, basic dry ink brush or truegrit crispy inker for lining, sahco's brushset for everything else
What improvements have you made recently?
i've been making progress in anatomy and background better than last year! and how i colour the characters is getting better too :]
What steps would you like to take in the future?
I don't do art as a major main thing, so i'm taking my studies slow but i'd like to further improve character scenes in the coming years and possible learn to draw with my left hand in case carpal gets hold of my right hand HAHA
OH BOY!! more memes :]
got the meme from smobs

Weirdly Specific Artist Questions
Art programs you have but don't use
Anything on my PC. So SAI, FireAlpaca, Krita,,,, I do use em just not as much as Procreate since it's more portable and has the most of the brushes I use.
Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)
Left cuz I'm right-handed but right for animal faces
What ideas come from when you were little
Horses, my fursona, my,,, persona??? And the self-insert OCs with friends
Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
Birds and buildings! I can't draw their face in a way that makes sense to me yet and as much as I love drawing backgrounds, similar repetetive patterns is a bitchhhh
Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
None of my sketches get posted as much so I do have more offline than online. Since the fall of DA, I've mostly posted OC things online to toyhouse but nothing more.
Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (e.g. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
I'm not sure,,, I think cats and myself? I tend to draw faces with a very feline look and if I don't know what to draw for hairstyle I subconsioculy go back to my own hairstyle haha
A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
Sculpting, 3D digital and tradisional. They're really well done and I would love to be able to dabble in them more but I'm still having a hard time with my own medium haha
What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
The mountains of random projects that's a bit too big for me now.... comics, visual novels, RPG makers, custom rhythm levels....
What are your file name conventions
I do name my files but they're not named proper names like "Name of Illustratuin" they're more like "electric chair" or "waaaaa its screamin waaaa" and most of them don't relate to the artwork at all. Its funny yes but it bites me back in the ass when I have to find the file again
Favorite piece of clothing to draw
Buttoned up shirt! Pair it up with a vest, pair it up with a jacket pair it all up with everything and anything babyyyyyy
Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
I don't put on music,,, like,,,, ever,,, ASASASASJKASKJ i do put up long hour videos or watch my friend stream but most of the time i work in silence or i play as many things in one go
Easiest part of body to draw
Body!! the poses, the legs, the different volumes, its just so good
A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing
uhhhhhh junji ito is the first that comes to mind? a lotta other horror artists really. I love their penmanship and ability to create the sense of fear and dread from art alone.
Any favorite motifs
flowers, wave patterns, stripes and any other lines
Where do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)
with no means of transport? at home only which sucks cuz i work better when I'm outside. like at a libary or in a cafe. as long as there's wifi and a place to seat, I can practically work anywhere
Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing
uhhhh backgrounds again SAKJAHSAH i love backgrounds and after every finsihed thing with it its like YEA I DID AWESMOE but the process will always be GOD IM AWFUL
Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what
Yes.
Like, just yea
its a bad habit really djksakjdsjkd but sometimes im just too fixed on work that if i stop im out of the zone and wont work on the thing anymore
but this is better than not eating at all from college days dskajkjds just one step at a time rn
if i'm not eating, it's usually a glass of teh tarik on the side
An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken
none, they just run out of ink. i try to perserve them as much as I can, art supplies expensive when u come from south east asia
Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)
not much digitally but i love drawing flowers and vegetation traditionally. the patterning on them is very theraupeutic
Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
honse :) and backgrounds. maybe body fat? idk if ppl find that hard but these three are good, y'all just need to find yer way of making it more fun
Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways

Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)
i used to join a lotta zines! not as much nowadays but i join guest artists and cons now
Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
uhhh most horror games don't drive me artistically to draw but it makes me appreciate the art a lot
What piece of yours do you think is underrated
none, i think they're all baller as hell, y'all just cant see my vision /j
in all seriosness, i genuinely dont think any is?? like, theyre all real awesome, everyone's just got diff points of view really
