on the art itself: i've been trying to mind my value grouping more, and i can't quite decide whether i want to focus more on getting more in touch with doing lineart, figuring out more about painting, or working under my sketch. here i painted over and i like how it came out, but the way it lets me diverge from the sketch is both a blessing and a curse. while i do get to play around, it's also easy to lose nuances i had in the sketch. like i didn't even realize i lost the tilt of the head until i looked back at the sketch (or how big his ear ended up like wow i really missed that). live and learn though
