i was planning originally on posting compilations of things i drew this summer in at least roughly chronological order but i'm too excited to get to this from about the middle of it, which is the start of a lot of things i've been enjoying or doing more recently. for a while i lived and died by the pencil tool in samsung notes even though it's extremely limited in size range, meaning for any solid color i had no choice but to scribble to fill it (which i personally don't mind but my hands certainly do), but here i realized that i'm actually fine with hard round brush, which i carried back with me to krita. this was also my first time in a while coming back to a piece and easing into not trying to do the whole thing in one go (bad habit i've had for a long time which tends to lead to me either not sticking with any singular thing or not taking proper breaks). i also started really focusing on values here which i think was huge going forward. never doubt the blorbo power boost 😤
