Answer each question in as much detail as you like. Skip anything you don't know or would prefer not to answer.
How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
A lot? Joking aside I did use to have a lot of usernames cause I keep changing them and couldn't find one that fits my niche. It's hard to keep track of, and I kind of stop counting when I found one that I usually like that fits me.
What does your current username mean?
I like bugs, and Dusty is my name. So dustyinsect
Where did you first start posting your art?
DeviantArt? For a little while before Tumblr, now I just post my art wherever I can find access to whichever platform I use.
Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
Mine was a basic cat girl sona before realizing it didn't fit me, then I just move to a nonbinary spider/moth like thing.
Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
My main sona is my bugsona Dusty, they are a cross between a spider and a moth. Though they don't have any backstory and just solely exist as a part of me.
What phases/styles has your art gone through? (e.g. Did you have an anime era, a cartoon style, a watercolour phase?)
From anime to cartoon and to a semi-realistic slash cartoon/western style. I'm kind of proud to where I'm at right now.
What/who do you think has influenced your art style the most?
Hard to say, I guess it would be my older brother who influenced me a lot as a kid, also my mom. Which is hard to say really, but going to high school and taking a lot of art classes has influence me a lot now as a kid.
What/who inspired you to be an artist?
I'd always been an art kid since I was little, and there are so many types of artist that I was inspired to do before coming to the conclusion that they inspired me a lot.
What improvements have you made recently?
Let's see, anatomy, facial expressions, character designs, backgrounds (I'm still learning), drawing furries and bugs mostly
What steps would you like to take in the future?
I plan on graduating college to get an associates degree in graphic design and also go to another college to get a BFA. Maybe start working on some projects when I'm done and either do comics, games, animations, and so many more that I want to work on and have ideas. I also want to open up my shop someday when I make some merch.
