Burnt myself out making 32 pages. yeah.

My site lostmybootsoutwandering.com/ is where I'm going to be updating my fantasy/adventure comic from here on out.
I update new chapters the first Tuesday of every month 6pm-ish (ACST)
I update monthly now as I only enjoy comic-making in 16page chunks, so therefore, just call them chapters.
I have too many feels about comics and comic making. As the Berserk manga guided me in a dark time of my life when I hadn't been as 'productive' a member of society as I could be. I found sanctuary and relief in the inky darkness of Berserk's pages. I now aim to channel those feelings of safety, hope and healing into this project.
It's short name is Wandering or even LMBOW, if you wanna be sillier about it.
Yes the full name is a bit silly, but hey, I invented it awhile back and it stuck. You'll get it someday.
I haven't posted much about my comic project here, as it seems like people just want furry/touhou/??? art on a site like this. But if you're interested in what worlds a neurodivergent solo mum creator has to express.
Mine is a scrolling 'web' comic for the reason I ADORE the flow of reading a comic. Not clicking from one page to one stilted page (cannot stand that anymore)
Anyways, I won't ramble rn.
I'm dropping some 20 or so pages in a couple of days. I know how much I can handle. 20 is totally fine. But the concept of churning out 60+ pages a month as an unpaid creator and full-time solo parent is like....NOPE.
I am trying to make my comic passion work as a fun thing, whilst balancing being a good (hopefully great?) mum. It's all balance. Bruh, you learn how to change gears and start inking comic in a split second once bubs is asleep.

So no new chapter dump until the 6th of Jan, but that's only a few days from now. Yes I'm just procrastinating right now, but I whipped up 20 pages last few days. That is my comic pipeline, I think I finally found it. yay!
I am a massive noob for a lot of internet subculture things. For example, I didn't know much about internet culture trading/selling character designs or being commissioned to design a thought-out character with an appealing story or aesthetic or whatever.
I barely refer to my characters as 'OCs' or make proper 'ref sheets'. They just are what they are. They shapeshift in design a lot from month to month, but are still the same character deep down.
But someone gave me a Toyhouse code earlier this year! So I wanted to maybe make sense of a lot of the random critters and characters I've drawn over a lifetime.
I also want to revisit basically all of them with the art skills I have now. A lot of my art is pretty ugly, it's a long story. So I need to re-sketch them, push their designs more, work harder on the color palettes, make up a world for all the scraggly ones that seem so forlorn in their solitary-confinement of a folder.
So here are the one's so far up on my Toyhouse
Many of my designs come from my narrative-heavy games I have dabbled in over the last few years. The art isn't that good but I like the concepts I have. Some of them are very precious to me, such as Lachlan, but I don't have many pics that I'm proud enough to post there just yet!
I am kinda bewitched by many of the designs I see on Toyhouse.
A lot of splendid funny and wacky critters that seem to exist simply for the sake of fun alone. I am not someone that actively creates feral/furry critters but people really do push the limits with those drawings to make them into something special.
It reminds me of childhood, and so does this site! Sheezy.art feels like a big warm hug and a welcome home.
Although I'm now well into my early thirties, I am not only eager to cling to artistic hobbies, but to cling to childhood joy.
Drawing cartoons has always been my way of connecting with this, more than video games, not trying to vilify video games but actually drawing off of Disney, Neopets, Hamtaro, Inuyasha - whatever I was inspired by back then, mattered more to me. (Tldr; I don't find mental escape with gaming and never have, but thats a ramble for another post)
I truly believe that anything that keeps my brain churning along with inspiration is a worthy use of my time.
Will add some nicer pics to all those characters on Toyhouse very soon, it's just life is chaotic for me right now because I am finishing my university degree very soon! Next week!
The final assignment EVER is due next week! I should me making it good right now, but I'm obviously procrastinating a bit!
Ceeeyaaa
