something about black holes and corsetry. unravelling. in the modern day corsets are seen as restrictive, but in the past they offered more of a sense of security-- exercising some amount of control over how you're outwardly perceived by obscuring or shaping the body. taking it off is making yourself more vulnerable, and vulnerability is an event horizon you can't come back from
