Umm... Hi. I'm Dash. Short for... well, Rachel Dashner. But only Dad calls me Rachel. He still thinks I'm his little baby - even though I'm 15. He'll prolly call me that when I'm gonna be a designer at Ferrari. If I'm gonna be a designer; I must survive high school first. But it's not easy if you are the first sentient splice, hybrid or whatever I officially am. So, it's hiding behind a God-awful disguise I'd rather burn to ashes then. But it's ok; not that I wanna be seen by anyone. And I hope it stays that way...

This is the original 2016 concept art of Rachel 'Dash' Dashner, the deeragon main protagonist of my work-in-progress young adult novel. Her background, backstory and personality have changed a lot since she was conceived in the mid-2010s, but this little drawing is where it all started. We can even say that this picture is the mother of all deeragons... ;)
