Considering within the narrative of WHop - Overseers are seen by the PC as the characters’ creators – but less in the sense of gods/deities and more so in the sense of storytellers and worldbuilders (so Kindle is viewed as the creator of Will and Sasha). Storm is Artemis’ creator – but thanks to the Inventor’s meddling, Artemis landed up in Kindle’s domain, outside of her story. Wanting to keep the skeleton safe from the other Overseer’s meddling, Kindle offers their aid as warlock patron (honestly, this was also an opportunity to be as close to the joke of “the warlock’s patron is the DM” as we could get, since every player takes turns getting to be the DM in this game).
