A little bio of a character from a webcomic I'm doing called Voracity's End.

Name: Daiki Ikari

Age: 12

Birthday: February 18

The youngest of the twins (although he would argue the hour difference doesn't count)

Powers: Uses sound/music though these differ on their effects, as Daiki using music ends in him being a dedicated “buffer” for anyone he is with, whereas using sound or noise makes him a really powerful force… Though, since he hates noise, his powers mostly revolve in the music side of it, making it hard for him to use the sound in a destructive way.

This includes singing (as the musical side) and using his voice (in the sound destructive way)

Not that he can’t attack with the music, however, he just personally has it hard to make it into something destructive just as him using sound for something constructive is hard.

Weapon: Mainly his transversal flute, though he can use other instruments or items that project his voice (like a megaphone)

A bit about Daiki:

A boy that deals with stress on a daily basis, as his mind tends to be noisy and he can’t seem to find the off button. Frequently plagued by things that irritate him, he tries to find a solution to those though he just ends up more irritated by things out of his control.

He doesn’t know he is stressed however, as he is not even sure what that even entails… In fact, he is unsure of what he is feeling most of the time, often labeling it as ‘being angry or annoyed’. Daiki is an ‘aural musician’ and as such very auditory in general. Although his brain irritates him by not shutting up, he enjoys getting distracted from it and can end up spacing out for a bit or forget what he was doing. (He feels self conscious and gets embarrassed by this really easily).

He seldom smiles, though he can often have a kind of confident looking one when he is. Daiki is able to, however, smile in a more carefree way when influenced by Masaru whose smile is found by Daiki to be ‘contagious’.

Although he has it difficult to express his feelings, he is often told that his music expresses a lot of what he can’t say. Because of this knowledge though, he feels shy about singing or playing anything in the presence of anyone.

Because of his parents’ death and them being made to live in an apartment without an adult he can trust or like, he has grown resentful and has a hard time understanding affection.

Likes: Reading, studying, eating out, playing video games from time to time, going out of the apartment.

Loves: Playing instruments, music, being with his brothers, cake

Dislikes: His uncle Julius, avocados and ‘suspicious food’, leaving hairs on his pillow. He dislikes the color red (since it reminds him of his uncle), he avoids wearing red clothes though he makes exceptions when Daitaro wants them to match or Daiki feels like matching with him to cheer him up. (Of course, Daitaro also wears purple time to time for the sake of matching with his twin though Daitaro wears red more frequently)

Hates: Noise, school.

Fears: Being left homeless (he can’t really elaborate on his fear), others he can’t define.
